Reflection on what is working and what I can do better:

This round of courses was more difficult for me this time through. I'm not sure if it was personal life in conjunction, the combination of the two classes, or just the beginning of a new year. However, I felt that I was always doing the best I could. And as my administrator recently pointed out to me, that is all any one can ask from us. My coordinator challenged me to go forward this semester with grace and take things one task at a time. And so while that may seem like an odd thing to suggest for improvement, I am going to say that this time around, what I can do better is work on having grace for myself. I am a whole person just like my students are and grace is just as important for me as it is for them. I will say I did do well with getting into a scheduling flow for discussions, while I feel the depth of responses to my peers could have been deeper. Again, grace.
Key Contributions
Contributed to, helped build, and provided feedback to your core collaboration group

My collaboration group was: Veronica Mata, Cristy Silkin and Ann Zastryzny. We had a lively
group text going we also tried to use Padlet for collaboration of assignments, but ended up just using our group chat, which worked great! This is the second time this group has been together and as our group grows more comfortable together our feedback gets deeper. Which I think is important. Every time one of us finished an assignment we would pop it in our group text and each would provide feedback. This is convenient and worked for us as busy teachers.
Revised all assignments and reflected on revisions in this contribution to a learning activity.
All assignments were reflected on and revised accordingly to peer and instructor feedback. We had some great commentary in our group text. Before turning in anything we would all post our assignments and give feedforward comments. This was so helpful and really helped all of us grow as learners.
Completed ALL of the course readings, videos, and supporting resources.
All readings, videos, and resources were viewed and synthesized
Met the various course activity deadlines indicated in the calendar.
All activities were turned in on time.
Supporting Contributions
While I believe I met at supporting contributions I am going to put mine in a plus/delta table because I do think there are some that could have been done better.

Took leadership responsibility in my base group and the course. I took initiative to create the Padlet and initiate conversation in the group chat. I also responded to the course GroupMe and answered classmates questions. Contributed to my learning and the learning of my colleagues by participating in ALL activities. I completed all assignments and participated in all discussion questions. Active contributions in the various course forums. I participated in the large course GroupMe and the class discussion board. Posted in a timely fashion so others could respond to my postings. All discussion posts were posted early enough so others could have an opportunity to respond. | Postings reflect breadth and depth of thinking with research to support thinking and are cited using APA. While my postings all cited the provided video or reading in APA, I believe I could have included more research to have more thought provoking discussions. Additional postings were made that did not require research but were rather to contribute to the learning. I responded to my peers posts to contribute to both our learning, but I believe that I could have been more in depth and I could have done maybe even some additional blog postings to contribute more to everyone's learning. |
