New AI Toys! Oh Boy!

While having been encouraged use AI to come up with a media project to promote our articles for our Publication Class. I remembered that my dyslexia instructor had recently told us about a new tool she had used called Google Notebook LM. She was very impressed that the tool not only summarized her article, but also created a light hearted, but accurate podcast about her article as well. Some of my group members and I decided to try this and were very impressed with the results. Take a quick listen to the podcast regarding my Gamification article here.

The process was so simple. After I took feedforward from my group, I then was able to add the document directly from Google Drive. Some things that I learned are that whatever the document is titled, the "podcasters" will refer to your article as. Also, if you do not include your name as a byline they will refer to you as "the source." Once I fixed these these things, I was very happy with how my podcast turned out.

Next came the fun part of trying to transcribe the podcast and have each speaker named without having to do this myself or pay for the service. I used Happy Scribe which gave me all but about ten seconds so I finished those on my own.

My idea for gamification in the classroom is tied to my innovation plan to develop a gamification application for dyslexic students to practice diacritical coding.
